Arko is always committed to adopting an environmentally-friendly management model, aimed to reducing energy and water consumption in order to minimize the production of industrial waste. The scraps produced in the company are carefully divided and transferred to companies specialized in the recycling sector.

The chain of custody certification FSC-STD-40-004 guarantees the origin of the materials used for its products and therefore it demonstrates the active contribution of the Company to responsible forest management.
All suppliers are sensitized to embrace the same policy of respect for the environment and controlled recovery.

The reuse of production residues is a topic that is very close to our heart and on which many resources have been invested: the result is that actually, all the waste is recovered, compacted and recycled in the furnishing sector or to produce new materials for the building sector.

health and safety

The company management has always promoted the centrality of the person and supports the importance of work carried out in conditions of complete safety.

For this reason, preventive and protective measures of the workplace are constantly implemented to guarantee the health, safety and well-being of each employee according to what is indicated in the Legislative Decree 81/2008 (art. 32) and Circular Min. 2003.

The technicians in charge of the Prevention and Protection Service (RSPP) make use of external consultants who periodically form and sensitize staff on the most important and current issues.

Through the Senegal Project, Diana Djindemp and Onlus, Arko is contributing to the development of infrastructure in a small Senegalese village to improve people’s lives: a school, a maternity ward and a first aid station have already been set up.
